Broncos documentary on statewide helmet initiative to air Saturday on KUSA

The Denver Broncos’ documentary, ALL IN. ALL COVERED.: Protecting The Game, premieres Saturday, showcasing their philanthropic initiative providing over 15,000 smart helmets to Colorado high school football programmes, enhancing athlete safety and access.

The Denver Broncos’ documentary ALL IN. ALL COVERED.: Protecting The Game will debut locally Saturday at 6 p.m. MDT on KUSA, shining a spotlight on one of the most significant statewide football initiatives in Colorado.

The feature takes viewers inside the Denver Broncos Foundation’s first year of ALL IN. ALL COVERED., the helmet distribution program launched in January 2025. The initiative is designed to provide more than 15,000 Riddell Axiom smart helmets to every high school tackle football program in the state over a four-year rollout. The program covers all 277 Colorado high school tackle football programs, with schools receiving 25 percent of their helmet allotment each year from 2025 through 2028.

The Broncos have described ALL IN. ALL COVERED. as the single largest philanthropic investment in franchise history. The documentary highlights key voices involved in the project, including Broncos Owner and Foundation Board Chair Carrie Walton Penner, Broncos President Damani Leech, Riddell CEO Allison Boersma, CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger, Broncos alumni and others.

To date, 99 percent of Colorado high school football teams have enrolled in the program, and nearly 4,000 helmets were distributed in year one, according to Broncos PR.

The program goes beyond helmet donations. In addition to the helmets themselves, schools receive starter kits with maintenance items, extra visors, face masks and more. Each school also receives a four-year subscription to InSite Analytics along with a Riddell Sideline Device to help monitor and analyze team impact history. The Riddell Axiom was selected in part for its TRU-FIT system, which uses 3D imaging for a personalized fit, as well as built-in impact sensing and reporting technology.

The initiative was created in partnership with Riddell and the Colorado High School Activities Association, with the stated goal of improving student-athlete health and safety while expanding access to the game across the state. Broncos and CHSAA leaders have framed the project as a long-term investment in the future of Colorado football.

After its local TV debut, Protecting The Game will also be posted to the Broncos’ YouTube channel at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The documentary is scheduled to re-air Sunday, March 29, at 9:30 p.m. on KTVD and Sunday, April 12, at 8:30 p.m. on KUSA.
