5-Star Colorado Star Brihanna Crittendon Commits to Texas, No. 4 Team in the Nation

One of the nation’s top high school basketball players is heading to Austin. Brihanna Crittendon, a five-star wing from Colorado and ESPNW’s No. 8 recruit in the Class of 2026, has committed to the Texas Longhorns, giving the SEC power a major addition to its future roster.

Crittendon, a 6-foot-3 matchup problem with elite length and scoring feel, chose Texas over a Final Six that included TCU, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Tennessee, and Texas. The Longhorns, currently ranked No. 4 nationally, secure one of the most dominant prep players in the country and arguably the most accomplished girls’ basketball prospect to come out of Colorado in the last decade.

Over three varsity seasons, Crittendon has already posted production rarely seen at the high school level:

  • 2,333 career points
  • 28.8 points per game
  • 943 made field goals
  • Three straight seasons over 700 points
  • Career-high 31.2 PPG as a freshman
  • 2024 4A Champion with Riverdale Ridge

Known for her ability to score from all three levels, defend multiple positions, and control games on both ends, Crittendon has been one of ESPNW’s fastest-rising recruits since her freshman year. Her combination of size, mobility, and polished skill set makes her a projected impact player the moment she steps on campus.

Texas adds a program-changing recruit as head coach Vic Schaefer continues to stack top-tier talent. With Crittendon on the way, the Longhorns’ future remains firmly inside the national title picture.
