Legend Outpaces Riverdale Ridge in Hard-Fought Battle 64-58

Parker, CO – In a closely contested matchup, the Legend Titans secured a 64-58 victory over the Riverdale Ridge Ravens on Monday night, fueled by standout performances from Grace Stanley and Mason Borcherding. The Titans’ cohesive team play and key contributions from their stars proved too much for the Ravens, despite a remarkable individual effort from Riverdale Ridge’s Brihanna Crittendon.

Stanley was the spark for Legend, scoring 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting while recording five steals, her tenth straight game with at least two steals. Borcherding added 14 points on 7-of-13 shooting, complemented by eight rebounds and three steals, showcasing his presence on both ends of the court. Maley Wilhelm chipped in with eight points and six rebounds, rounding out a balanced effort for the Titans.

Legend’s team-oriented play shone throughout the game, as they tallied 13 assists, decisively outclassing Riverdale Ridge, which managed just one assist. The Titans’ ability to share the ball and find open looks was instrumental in their third consecutive home victory, improving their record to 8-3.

On the other side, Riverdale Ridge’s Brihanna Crittendon delivered an incredible performance, earning Player of the Game honors with 36 points on 14-of-25 shooting, along with six rebounds. Crittendon accounted for a staggering 62.1% of the Ravens’ points, continuing her streak of contributing more than a third of her team’s scoring in her last four games. Chloe Parker added 11 points and seven rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Legend’s balanced attack.

The loss drops Riverdale Ridge to 4-3, marking their third defeat in four games. The Ravens will look to bounce back as they travel to face Prairie View on Thursday, January 8, at 7:00 p.m. Meanwhile, Legend aims to extend their winning streak when they host Vista PEAK Prep on January 15 at 7:00 p.m.
