ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix has once again been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week, earning the honor for his exceptional performance in Denver’s dominant 38-0 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18. The NFL made the announcement on Wednesday, marking a milestone achievement for the first-year signal caller.
Nix’s historic outing included completing 26-of-29 passes (89.7%) for 321 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions, posting an impressive 152.4 passer rating. His completion percentage set a new Broncos franchise record, while his first 18 consecutive completions established an NFL rookie record and tied for the fourth most by any player to start a game since 1977.
This is Nix’s second AFC Offensive Player of the Week recognition this season, making him the first Broncos offensive player to achieve the honor multiple times in a single season since Peyton Manning’s MVP campaign in 2013. Nix now joins a prestigious group of Broncos offensive stars who have earned the award multiple times in a season, including Manning, Terrell Davis, Mike Anderson, and John Elway.
A Season to Remember
Nix started all 17 games for the Broncos in his rookie campaign, showcasing poise and precision while leading Denver’s offense. He finished the season completing 376-of-567 passes for 3,775 yards, with 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, earning a 98.3 passer rating. His 29 touchdown passes rank second all-time among NFL rookies, while his 34 total offensive scores place him third in league history for first-year players.
The 12th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Nix has solidified himself as the centerpiece of the Broncos’ offense and a rising star in the league.
